Nashville Meets London Presents! To Feature Jeff Cohen at PizzaExpress Live! on June 29

Show to Feature Opening Performances by Nik and Sam and Shannon Hynes

(Nashville, Tenn. – June 6, 2022) – Nashville Meets London (NML) has announced the lineup for its upcoming NML Presents at PizzaExpress Live (Holborn). On Wednesday, June 29, the much-anticipated show will feature Jeff Cohen (U.S.) and special guests Nik and Sam (U.S.) and Shannon Hynes (U.K.).

Doors will open at 6:30 p.m. and shows begin at 8:00 p.m. Tickets are £20.00, and only a limited number of tickets are available. Tickets are available for purchase at www.pizzaexpresslive.com. Other upcoming dates for the NML Presents! monthly series are June 29 and July 27.

Jeff Cohen is a 6x BMI Award-winning, Grammy-nominated songwriter/producer/publisher based in Nashville whose songs have appeared on over 20 million albums sold, over 100 placements in TV/Film, and over 10 million video games.

Jeff’s songs have been recorded by The Shires, Sugarland, Big and Rich, The Band Perry, Mickey Guyton, Laura Bell Bundy, Josh Groban, Spin Doctors, Evan and Jaron, Jake Bugg, Macy Gray, Mandy Moore, Nick Lachey, Ben’s Brother, Teitur, Tina Dico, Ilse DeLange and many more. His songs have appeared on TV shows such as Paw Patrol (Theme), The Simpson’s, Dawson’s Creek, Desperate Housewives, One Tree Hill, Jack and Jill (Theme), Saturday Night Live, and more. His songs have also appeared in movies such as Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants, Stuart Little 2, Aquamarine, My Super Ex-Girlfriend, Princess Diaries, and more. He has also written songs for commercials such as the Samsung Earbuds, Timex, Dignity Health, and more.

Jeff is a Board Member of NSAI (Nashville Songwriters Association International), a Board Member of The Inspired Nation Foundation founded by Kara DioGuardi, and is also the founder and songwriter of the critically acclaimed band Pancho’s Lament. In a previous life, he was a music executive at BMI working with such talent as Jeff Buckley, Kara DioGuardi, Lisa Loeb, Joan Osborne, Spin Doctors, Ben Folds, Wilco, Ani Di Franco, and many more.

Influenced by an eccentric blend of bluegrass festivals, classic rock, and front porch pickin’, Nik and Sam’s music roots were planted early. Virtuoso harmonies came naturally and by the age of 10, the girls were sculpting an “Everly Brothers-esque” piece of instrumentation and vocal blend.

Possessing talent far beyond their young age, the girls soon began writing their own music, infusing their individual influences into their style. Sam’s melodic banjo and Nik’s driving guitar rhythms embody the spirit of passion. Based in Nashville, TN, Nik and Sam continue to pursue their love of music around the world.

Shannon Hynes is an independent, Welsh songwriter and artist drawing influences from the Country, Americana and Folk genres. Hynes pairs an organic, traditional instrumentation with her deep intricate lyrics, all upheld by the dulcet innocence of her vocal. Receiving comparisons to modern leaders in the genre such as Kacey Musgraves and Clare Bowen, she has also been likened to legendary musical icons such as Dolly Parton and Emmylou Harris. The unapologetic way in which Hynes conducts herself and her music exemplifies why she has gained such great respect on the UK Country scene and is described as the ‘one to watch in 2022’. With iTunes #1’s, headline shows, national and international radio play, recognition in the forms of ‘Hits Brits Champion’ on Country Hits Radio and a ’UK Country Music Spotlight Award’ nomination, Hynes looks forward to 2022 with lots of shows, releases and exciting new projects.

2022 marks the 5th Anniversary Year of NML Presents! and PizzaExpress has been the home of NML Presents! since its formation. Artists that have appeared at NML Presents! include Alyssa Bonagura, American Young, Elles Bailey, Alyssa Bonagura, Julia Cole, Noah Guthrie, Holloway Road, Angie K, Kevin McGuire, Jake Morrell, Morgan Myles, Raintown, Tebey, and many more.

NML Presents! is co-produced by Peter Conway with Peter Conway Management, Matt Watkins and Christy Walker-Watkins with Nashville-based agency, The AristoMedia Group, and UK-based presenter Matt Spracklen, in collaboration with PizzaExpress Live. About Jess and The Bandits: Frontwoman Jessica Clemmons formed her Bandits in 2012. With her big voice and warm personality, the Texas native felt an instant connection with the four Brits who made up her band and shared her love for authentic country music. Though over the years members have come and gone as they carve out their own musical journeys, Jess and the band have forged her own brand of UK country, releasing music to critical acclaim, touring extensively, and growing a dedicated fan base along the way. The band’s singles have racked up multiple BBC Radio 2 playlists, and they’ve even performed live on the late Terry Wogan’s Radio 2 Sunday sessions. Beyond the airwaves, they have appeared on ITV’s Lorraine, Aled Jones’ Weekend, Channel Five’s The Wright Stuff and Sky’s Sunrise show. They signed an endorsement deal with high-street retailers Evans’ and debuted the feel-good single ‘Nitty Gritty’ in The Independent newspaper. Jess and the Bandit’s sophomore album Smoke & Mirrors debuted at #1 in the UK Country Music Chart in 2017, whilst their single Sister, with its anthemic battle-cry, was added to the BBC Radio 2 Playlist. Singles from the album also received heavy support on key country music Spotify playlists Very Nearly Nashville and Wild Country. Following a sold-out headline UK tour in 2018, the band went on a short hiatus in 2019 while Jessica gave birth to a baby boy. They returned later that year with more UK tour dates and a new EP, Riding Shotgun. The EP was produced by Nashville heavy-weight Femke Weidma, who recorded the musicians in Music City before flying to Texas to work on vocals with new Mum Jessica. Jess & the Bandits have regularly been supported by the likes of CountryLine Radio (formerly Chris Country) and Absolute Radio Country (formerly Country Hits Radio) and featured in Maverick Magazine.

About Harriet Rose: Bio: UK-born singer/songwriter Harriet Rose, is a small-town girl with big dreams. The multi-instrumentalist prides herself on offering a unique Americana sound with a blend of powerhouse vocals and catchy guitar hooks. Harriet’s songs are always inspired by her own life; the trips and tumbles that make for honest and relatable lyrics, are rare for someone so young, who seems wiser than their years. She describes her own music as “Sass, flares and a little bit of heartache.” Labeled by some as a ‘360 artist’, in addition to the songwriting Harriet takes responsibility for all aspects of her career. Her determination to succeed is evident in the effort and passion she pours into her artistry, which goes unmatched. Over the last year, Harriet has made a name for herself in the UK Americana/Country scene, being nominated for awards and supporting established artists. She has released two previous singles, both of which were received with high praise and continue to grow her fan base globally. During the lockdown period, Harriet remained busy performing numerous live streams in both the UK and USA, winning awards as well as taking part in podcasts and interviews. Coming out of lockdown in 2021, Harriet hit the ground running. Alongside her band, she played sold-out headline gigs, gigged up and down the country, performed at the major festival Tramlines, and also completed a UK headline tour throughout November. To top the year off, she also received three awards in the 2021 Arc Radio Listeners Awards for Female of the Year, Live Performer of the Year and Newcomer of the Year as well as UK Female of the Year and UK Song of the Year from Live Country Sessions.

Trinity Buoy Wharf is nestled between Royal Victoria Dock, Canning Town, and Poplar, not far from Canary Wharf, and is an enclave for arts and cultural activities. Trinity Buoy Wharf has kept its unique allure as a center for studio and gallery space, a pier, boat club, school, rehearsal rooms, three enormous sustainable and colorful Container City buildings, and dining options, such as The Orchard and Fat Boys All-American Diner.

Throughout the festival, fans will have options, including listening to music or retreating to the venue’s terrace to enjoy the surrounding outdoor seating areas nestled among artistic backdrops and expansive river views. Food trucks and fully staffed bars will also be on-site, offering diverse food and drink options.

Peter Conway of Peter Conway Management and Promotions and Nashville Meets London Co-Founder and Producer comments that “as NML continues to grow, so does the need for an alternative location. We are very grateful for what we built at Canary Wharf; however, we are excited to have a footprint that offers flexibility and will allow us to spread out and curate more intimate fan experiences where fans can feel more connected with one another and with the artists.”

Matt Watkins of The AristoMedia Group and Nashville Meets London Co-Founder and Producer comments, “We expect something special. We are planning a grand comeback, and we can already sense the excitement.”

On August 19, NML will host the NML Country Music River Cruise just days before the festival, with support from PizzaExpress Live!
